London Trip : Day 2

So we continue our adventures on Saturday morning. Our alarms go off at 9:30 am and we've left the hotel by 10:30. When we booked our hotel we decided not to book breakfast so we could go out and have breakfast somewhere in London.

We decided to start our day in Camden Town since it was on our tube line into the city centre. Camden is just so awesome. Although, most of the time I was there I was thinking 'I'm not cool or trendy enough to be here'. The shops are truly INSANE. Most of the shops had 3D sculptures on the front of them, the shoe shop was one of my favourites (How do they stay up there aren't they really heavy??).

The street art there is also just the best. Here are some of my favourites and the obligatory Camden Lock picture.

Dr. Martens shop Camden

After a quick stop at Costa for some breakfast we had a wander round Camden Market. It's so eclectic, I'm pretty sure that you could find anything you needed there, no matter how specific it was. I was so tempted by lots of thing but I was good, for once. The other half was particularly taken by the Dr. Martens shop, they had a sort of live venue in there pretty much ready for a band to walk on and play. I think he made it one of his goals for his band, Mal Hijo, to play there. Not gonna lie the flight case chairs were pretty cool too.

Next order of business was the Natural History Museum.

Natural History Museum

What a building that is. I couldn't believe how big it was. London's architecture never ceases to amaze me. There's so much to see in there. I think our favourite part was the dinosaurs though. Who can beat looking at dino skeletons and actual size moving models.... I mean it's just cool deal with it. After the Dino's we went and saw many more animals and was just in awe for the majority of the time we were there.

Hackett shop London

After this we had a looonnnggg walk down Oxford road and took in all the things I couldn't afford to buy but it was still cool to see and dream about all the things I could buy if I ever became rich, LOL! Mr Hackett did manage to find his mother-ship though which is always funny. Unfortunately we didn't feel like we could go in as we didn't wanna touch anything in case we ruined it and then had to pay for it.

All this dreaming of buying things made us hungry so we again went in search of food. This time our food outlet of choice was Frankie and Benny's and I had the best hot dog I have ever had. It was wrapped in bacon and topped with cheese. Oh my God I want one just thinking about it. So good.

It's now 5 pm and we still have a little while before we have to get to the show which starts at 7:30 pm so we decided to go and have an amble around Covent Garden. I love this place. There are so many street performers and lovely little shops it's just a nice place to pass the time. I didn't, however, like the lift at Covent Garden tube station. As someone who already has a fear of lifts this did not make it any better. There was so many people in one lift I felt so claustrophobic its unreal. But in the grande scheme of things its very minor and one I got over pretty quickly.

So that is where I'm going to end this post. I'm sorry but I respect the show I went to see to much to just tag it onto the end of this post. It totally deserves it's own. So stay tuned!!
